The Race Against Time 17 – 21 June 2007
If you are a keen road cyclist looking for the ultimate challenge in 2007, this ride could be for you. This May or June you could join us and cycle End-to-End fully supported in just five days! We are especially looking for women riders to fill the final few places on our teams.
The Race Against Time is so called because it reflects the overwhelming urgency of addressing the AIDS crisis in South Africa, and preventing the spread of HIV among young people. Funds raised through the events will support essential care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. This year funds rasied through the Teachers’ Race will also support life-saving interventions reaching 10,000 secondary school students a year.
Completing the 874-mile ride in five days may sound impossible, but the challenge has already been tried and tested. 17 riders have completed the ride in previous years, including 2 women.
If you are seriously fit and willing to raise sponsorship for this vital cause, please contact Emily Fyson, Race Organiser: 0845 430 1214 [email protected].
