The adidas TERREX Coast to Coast Adventure race is one of the most accessible adventure races in Europe.
And this year, when the event kicks off on 26 August, the 100 other competitors will be joined by Olympic Gold medallist James Cracknell.
It’s a 200 mile race that takes place over four days later this month, where competitors will find themselves mountain biking, kayaking, open water swimming, running and navigating from one side of the country to the other.
Competitors will broadly follow the C2C walking route that passes through three contrasting national parks: the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors National Park.
James Cracknell, who will compete in the adidas TERREX Coast to Coast race for the first time said: “Having seen last year’s adidas TERREX adventure race in The Lakes it is right up my street. Combining the disciplines of mountain biking together with kayaking and open water swimming not to mention running means it is going to be a full on endurance race. It is going to be great to be part of Team adidas TERREX and we will be challenging to win this year’s race.”
