2001 National Champion Oli Beckingsale is back on Aston Hill in October passing on his cross-country techniques. The course is aimed at helping you to get the most out of your cross-country riding. This is the fourth year of Oli’s courses on Aston Hill and this year’s course looks set to be the best yet.
The format of the course is pretty simple as Oli takes you round the trails that make up Aston Hill passing on the techniques that have taken him to National and International success. During the session there is plenty of time for questions and Oli is happy to advise on bike set-up and performance training. Oli’s experience speaks for itself, Youth, Junior, Espoir (Under 23) and now Senior National Cross Country Champion; Oli has been on the World Cup Circuit for years, with his ride at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 the highlight of his career so far.
The format of the course means that you don’t need to be super fit to take part. The pace is steady throughout the session working through various sections of the trail with Oli talking you through the techniques needed and then demonstrating how he rides the section helping you to get on the faster and safer lines and in turn enabling you to get more from your mountain biking.
Usually it takes years of training to get this close to Oli and this is your chance to find out just what makes him so fast.
