Chris Akrigg, who needs no introduction, will be starring at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival this Saturday.

He’ll be interviewed live on stage by Richard Cunynghame, and they will discuss everything from his first experiences of mountain biking at trials competitions through to his transition of making it an art-form with his films.

In May last year the Yorkshire-born rider was faced with a long road to recovery after he fell 40 foot off a cliff, a challenge that he will talk about alongside elaborating on his unique attitude to the sport that lands him in such situations but has also gained him many plaudits over the years. Interspersed with stills and behind the scenes footage, the event with be carried off with the same sense of humour that makes his films such fun.
