OK so we’ve giving coverage to possibly the most obvious “sex sells” marketing hype we’ve seen in a long time, but hey there’s not much else happening and it might make some of you feel better about not still being in the solo category when the Red Bull comes around!
The Daily Telegraph’s Adventure travel and sports show 2002 runs from January 11 – 13th at London Olympia (as opposed to the long demolished Olympia cinema in Harrogate) and they concocted a survey that says adventure people are more attractive. I think we’re meant to go there just in the hope of finding a line of simpering suitors waiting outside for us when we re-emerge reeking of adrenaline. Statisticians will be delighted to know that Reuters.com reported “49% of respondents found adventurous people exciting and 17% were attracted by their “wild side””. However only 5% admitted to creating tales of fake heroism, which shows we’re even more likely to lie about lying than anything else!
The report also states that “Over a quarter of those who had dived with the fish admitted to suffering from claustrophobia” but we haven’t got a clue which fish or where. Probably best go along to the show if you want to find out.
