Cheap titanium anyone?

Titanium, exotic material numero uno, is expensive because it’s hard to process rather than hard to find. So sooner or later someone cleverer than us was bound to find a cheaper way to produce it.
Titanium is currently extracted using expensive chemicals. Researchers claim to have developed an electrical extraction process similar to the kind that made aluminium so cheap.
If successful this research will mean that bikes
like these might one day be as cheap as chips.
