The fifth Chatel Mountain Style Contest, part of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour for a second year, will take place from July 1-3.

The downhill event combines freeride and slopestyle disciplines, pitting specialist riders and amateurs head-to-head.

Steve Romaniuk , Geoff Gullevich, Graham Agassiz, Mike Kinrade, Darren Berrecoth, Kurt Sorge, Nick Simcik, Amir Kabani, Ramon Hunziker and Kyle Norbraten are among 20 pro riders already signed up.

They will be judged by a four-strong jury, all of whom have taken Freeride Mountain Bike Association training, led by Scott Team’s Ben Walker as president.

Riders will use ‘The Face’ – a 300m track with 160m of descent across both natural and artificial terrain.
