The Swiss round of the Swatch Biker X, BSX competition saw a big turn out from top British riders.
Pashley and 24seven sent their full factory teams and MBUK’s Dave Wardell was on hand to try and better last year’s second place. An excellent 25 second course saw the riders flying, with 5 Brits making it to the last 16, with 24seven’s Union Jacket race jerseys much in evidence. Pashley riders Dylan Clayton and Toby Forte just edged the 24seven boys out in the semi’s and then proved their worth with a commanding win in the finals ahead of home favourite Michel Joseph and France’s William Balaud.
In the women’s event Pashley cleaned up again, with Keri Edgeworth winning both her semi and final to take the women’s title by a clear margin from Switzerland’s Sandra Hohl.
Martyn Salt and the boys would like to thank “Karin and the crew at Laax for making us all feel so welcome and providing a coach from the airport that Bon Jovi would have been proud of and a big thanks to Swatch for our watches and making it all happen”.
