Riders outside the UK wanting to get there hands on a Boardman will finally be able to do so through online retailer Wiggle.
The 2011 Boardman range was unveiled in March, with 22 bikes across mountain, cyclo-cross, hybrid and road.
The mountain bike range, sold in the UK through Halford, covers the Elite Series – featuring the EM/1.5, costing £3499 with a full SRAM XX groupset – and Performance Series, which includes the £650 MTB HT Comp.
And now customers outside the UK – but excluding the Republic of Ireland, South Korea and Singapore – are able to pre-order for dispatch in July.
Former Olympic track cycling gold medallist Chris Boardman said: “World-class bikes available across the globe – that has always been a huge part of our ambition – and now with Wiggle we are able to achieve this.
“Our bikes, developed through continuous research and development, and coupled with our exacting design principles, will now be available to every kind of rider – offering a great ride experience wherever they live.”
Wiggle CEO Humphrey Cobbold added: “Over the last three years we have built strong relationships with customers across the globe and we are delighted to be able to offer them the award-winning Boardman bikes.
“In keeping with the Boardman team’s fastidious attention to detail, every single bike will be assembled, checked and test ridden by our Cytech qualified mechanics before being carefully shipped direct to customers.”
