Bionicon is a German brand that has made a name for itself with its intriguing on-the-fly adjustable geometry system to suit climbing and descending.
The entire range is based around a design in which the fork travel changes and the shock’s effective mounting shifts by moving air between reservoirs in the integrated shock and fork system. A handlebar-mounted button allows lengthening of the fork travel, with the headangle varying from 68° to 73°. The seat angle changes between 70° and 75°.
The design features on all the full suspension bikes the brand produces, with the Golden Willow the most XC-oriented of the lot.
Anyway, if you’re finding yourself interested, the bikes will be available for demoing at a number of locations around the country over the coming months, as the UK dealers roll out a fleet of bikes for your delectation.
