You pays yer money you takes your choice. All those thrifty folks who scooped up bottom line deals on “mountain bikes” from Toys’R’us rather than spending a bit more to get a decent bike properly set up by a local bike shop are now reaping what they’ve sown.
There’s no news of a recall here yet, but over in the states Giraffe headed toy supermart Toys’R’us are recalling 54,000 Magna bikes which have a nasty habit of leaving their pedals and their riders lying in the road.
So if you know anyone who’s the proud owner of a “Magna Equator” bought between last January and this April tell them it might be worth checking with who they bought it from about whether it’s safe to ride.
