Described as ‘The Ultimate Singletrack Experience’, the BC Bike Race is a seven-day mountain bike stage race that takes place in BC, Canada. The third edition runs from 28 June to 4 July, and travels from Vancouver to Whistler.
Places are limited though, and with just over a week remaining if you want to ride this event don’t hesitate. The race can be ridden solo or in teams of 2, 3, 4 or 5 .
Year one winner, Chris Eatough (6-time 24-hour World Champion and member of the Trek Bicycling Team), describes the event as “…amazing. Best mountain bike race in the World, no doubt.”
The 2009 course is shaping up to be the most amazing yet, say the organisers. They’ve been adding final touches to ensure that BC Bike Race packs more fun and thrills than ever before: days 1, 2, and 3 get big changes to add significant amounts of singletrack; and days 4, 5, 6 and 7 keep all their respective highlights – at riders’ request – but get pumped up with even more trail time Even better still, with the new downtown Vancouver start line, participant travel logistics are streamlined and simplified.
