It’s back and ready to rock you once again – the Are You Tough Enough Enduro will take place on Sunday July 3.
The six-four-two hour race, supported by Merida Bikes, heads to Porridgepot Hill, with an updated eight-mile course for 2011, adding even sweeter singletrack and more super-fun descents.
But remember where there’s a ‘ying’ there has to be a ‘yang’ so look out for the leg stinging Concrete Hill, a test for all those whippet racers out there.
Entries
The event is open to all abilities including single speeders. No license is required for racing, just an
attitude for fun. A single lap race is available as an enduro taster for those who wish just to chill out and enjoy the day.
Make sure you enter by June 28 to ensure you get the best price and a fast track to your number board. Entries will be available on the day, although you’ll have to join the queue and get ready to hand over an extra £3.
Race times
The racing kicks off at 10.30am with the six-hour riders, followed two hours later by the four-hour riders, then being joined by the two-hour riders at 2.30pm, while the fun riders get stuck in at 3.30pm.
The aim is for most riders to finish together and all get a chance to grab a spot prize, though remember you have to be there to win it, so don’t slope off straight away. Take a break, grab a cuppa and a bacon buttie, chat about your ride and get ready to win.
Facilities
To make your pre-race and post-race as enjoyable as possible there will be a selection of samples from Mule Bar and For Goodness Shakes, as well as other hot and cold refreshments. If you’ve enough energy you could spend some time browsing the trade stands and treat yourself to some bike bling.
Results
Provisional results will be available on the day and a full list of results will be available on TimeLaps by the time you get home, or on our website later.
