The 2010 Midlands XC Champs takes place in the Herefordshire Hills on Sunday 23 May.

Attention now focuses on the Midlands based riders and with previous winners including Liam Killeen, David Fletcher and Dave Collins taking part all eyes will be on the elite men’s race to see who will be crowned 2010 Midlands Champion.

Mansell Lacy will host its first XC race for nearly a decade. The local trail fairies have been busy grooming a hilly 6km course in preparation for the event and being so close to the border, a big contingent of Welsh riders are expected among the 300+ competitors.

Riders will be treated to views of the lovely Hertfordshire countryside andthe bluebell lined trails as they fight their way up the climbs and blast down the descents. Spectators will be able to see riders twice every lap as the course returns to the arena midway, plus a stream crossing and the final descent are just a short walk away.
