The 1st Gear Cycles Rampage is a series of grass roots XC races based at the classic Checkendon course between Wallingford and Reading.

The venue has been used for regional and national races for over 10 years, and the course will be based on an improved lap of twisty singletrack that always produces close and fun racing – a true test of singletrack skills.

The Rampage series is the first to get the British Cycling F categorisation “Short Course XC”, meaning that BC points will be available at all rounds.

The series is great for less experienced or returning racers to get used to XC racers, but having attracted class elite riders such as Ade Landsley and Chris Minter last year there’s good, fast racing for all.

The dates for the series are:

• Round 1 – June 14
• Round 2 – July 5
• Round 3 – Sept 13
• Round 4 – Oct 4
