Ride the Red Bull Downforce urban race in Swansea

Fancy riding the toughest urban course Swansea has to offer? Red Bull Downforce is set to take place in the Welsh city on Sunday December 4.

The race gives amateur riders the chance to tame a specially-created course which contains narrow flights of steps, high speed turns and hills with 25 per cent gradients.

Thirty two riders will battle it out over two runs to set the fastest time, while former downhill world champion Gee Atherton also test out the course. You can apply for a place on the start line by visiting before Monday November 28.

Spectators are welcome and the action will begin at 12pm, with the final starting at 3pm and prize giving at 3:30pm. The course starts at Nicander Parade and finishes on The Kingsway in Swansea’s city centre.
