There’s just over a week to go until the first event in the new Circus of Dirt enduro series takes place at Hustyns Wood in Cornwall.
The new series will kick-off on Sunday 10 April and final work on the course is nearing completion, with it being described as “fast, dry and fast” which sounds good to us. Expect technical climbs, magnetic trees, a cheeky stream crossing or two and some fast downhills interspersed with fire road sections for gel guzzling.
The format for the event sees a morning enduro, with the option of 1 or 2 hours, while in the afternoon there’s a traditional XC race, with all the usual categories. The XC race is a Regional A ranked event.
Prizes will be provided by Shred and Plymouth’s Certini Bicycle Company.

Shred Events Director Maddie Horton is delighted with the way the series is shaping up: “Our goal has always been to widen the audience for XC racing and riding in the region.
“The point of the series is simple – to get everyone with a mountain bike to come and ride and if you don’t have a mountain bike then go and buy one in a local shop and we’ll give you your first ever mountain biking event for free.”
