The iconic Pass’Portes du Soleil is something of a legendary event, and this year 5924 riders took part in the 80km enduro that involves a lot of chairlifts around the French Alps.
The event is basically billed as a downhill enduro, the chairlifts take the strain up the hills leaving you to enjoy the desents, and takes in plenty of purpose-built tracks and other Alpine singletrack, with well stocked food stops along the way.
To give you an idea of the climbing/descending ratio, there’s1000 metres of up and a total of 6000 metres of down, try and convince us that doesn’t sound amazing.
Under blazing sunshine the event went ahead of three days on stunning trails, as these lovely photos from the ride show.
