A packed weekend of racing at Innerleithen has decided the British DH and XC National Champions. Gee Atherton won the men’s title ahead of Ben Cathro, with Steve Peat coming in fifth after a crash. Tracy Moseley beat Helen Gaskell to the women’s title.

In the XC racing, Liam Killeen mounted a successful defence of his 2008 title, getting the better of Oli Beckingsale in a final-lap attack. In the women’s race, Sue Clarke (2004 National Champion when she was Sue Thomas) won by a healthy margin from Jenny Copnall.
