Eurobike 2008: Report 11

Specialized

I think this may be my favourite of Specialized’s new bikes: the Stumpjumper HT

The FACT 10m carbon frameset will be right at home on the race track

Weight is reportedly safely under the magic 1kg mark

Excuse me Mr Sinyard, what exactly is going on with the new SX?

Darren Berrecloth’s ride of choice is loaded with 170mm of travel front and rear – a 110mm slope style version is also available

Curvy downtube and tapered head tube provides a solid front end

What words can be best used to describe the paint finish on this Demo? Answers on a postcard…

The Epic has been majorly redesigned and is much lighter, not to mention look far better too

The new Pro MTB shoe – now lighter and with a lower profile carbon sole, and a revised M-Lock SL buckle

Lots of new colours for the Deviant full-face lid

DT Swiss

DT Swiss forks now available with 15mm through-axle option. This EXC pictured weighs 1.75kg with 150mm of travel

And to slot into the fork is a 15mm version of the 240s hub

Ever wondered what a 240s rear hub would look like if you sliced it in half?

Intense Cycles

The new Tracer VP from Intense Cycles uses a reconfigured VPP linkage

Rounded box section top tube and massive stand over clearance

Two choices for mounting the shock

Bionicon

Bionicon have received plenty of press for their B-Boxx and on-the-fly adjustable geometry full-suss bikes, but it should be noted that their more conventional stuff looks good too

Such as this Scandium tubed Frequency hardtail

The on-the-fly adjustable geometry Edison
