We’ve been at the Cycle Show in Birmingham and one particular stand that caught our eye was that of Intrepid Apparel, a brand new clothing brand launching at the NEC.
We liked the simple contrast of colours – black, white, green – and the thought that had gone into the clothing, like hard-wearing, chunky zips and big pockets so its easy to grab something without taking your gloves off in winter.
Four main items make up the launch range, while a selection of t-shirts and caps are also available. Let’s take a closer look.
Ultimate MTB Softshell Jacket
The Ultimate MTB Softshell Jacket is Intrepid’s signature piece and retails at £135. It’s manufactured using a breathable softshell outer, with microfleece lining, designed to be super-warm but breathable at the same time.
Other features include a chin protector, fleece-lined side pockers, large rear pocket with an iPhone pouch and karabiner for car keys, lift pass pocket on the left forearm and reinforced elbows.
Classic Race Jersey
Next up is the Classic Race Jersey (£59), available in the white pictured or black and made from a fast wicking, quick drying and breathable fabric for the heat of competition. Features include a taped neck seam and flat locked seams for comfort, rear carge pocket, lift pass pocket and thumb loops.
Mission Shorts
The Mission Shorts come in two variations, the green and blue check pictured, or black and charcoal. Other detail includes mesh lined airflow thigh vents, a fast wicking inner waistband, fleece-lined side and rear pockets, and cuffed legs for great articulation over pads. Retail price is £79.
Campaign Shorts
Finally, the Campaign Shorts (£85) are pictured here at the front of the rail, available in either black or green. These particular shorts are designed for freeride or downhill, with a hard-wearing, three-stretch fabric for unrestricted freedom of movement. Otherwise, they share many of the features found on the Mission Shorts.
