The great thing about Scotland is…you’re free to go wherever you want to go
We’ve just seen this nice little vid from Swedish auto supremo Volvo, featuring none other than veteran of the World Cup Downhill circuit and all-round mountain bike celebrity Steve Peat.
Peaty getting out into the wilds…the warm and comfortable way.
There’s so much to love about the mountain biking in Scotland (with epic scenery, abundant trails, and great accessibility what’s not to love?), especially when you head out on a ride into the farther reaches of the Highlands. With so many accolades to his name, it’s always inspiring to see that Steve Peat never tires of riding bikes and, as this video proves, that he still finds the allure of Scotland’s bike riding equally as attractive as we do.
Inspired?
If you’ve driven the A82 past Glen Coe then you’ll recognise the majesty of the mountains and seemingly endless views that feature at the beginning of the video, and you’ll most probably appreciate the inspiration that such a landscape can provide. We’ve travelled the route numerous times en-route to the Fort William World Cup race – as has Peaty – and so it’s always good to see a little more of what the hills have to offer in terms of mountain biking.
We’re already looking into notes on ‘excuses to go and ride in Scotland’ – how about you?
