Mountain biking is a sport built on exploring the countryside and discovering new trails, and sharing them with friends.
And that’s the idea behind our new Viewranger Trail Share Competition, which rewards you for simply sharing trails with the readers of Bikemagic.
And it’s the new website that we’re going to use to allow you to share your trails with us, with three competitions over the following summer months. Three chances to win, just for sharing your routes with us. At the end of each month, we’ll judge the trails uploaded to my.ViewRanger.com and the best will win a bunch of cool prizes.
The routes so far – an example from Andy Jones
Andy Jones has uploaded this great route,Hearts Delight Bike, and describes it as a “Fantastic route using quiet lanes, great forest tracks and singletrack through woods … some fierce hills both up and down with technical sections.”
He adds: “A beautiful MTB route using fire tracks, great technical hills and very quiet lanes. This may be a short route but it is packed with hard ups, rewarding downs and some great singletrack through fantastic scenery. You will know you have completed this route when you get back to the start! It really is mountain bike heaven in parts having some fairly technical sections on the hills leading to great views.”
Sounds good to us. We’re tempted to download it now and go try it out this weekend. Its distance of 9.11km makes it accessible for all levels of mountain bikers but the difficulty rating is hard, so it’s a testing and challenging route. You can view the route here.
