This year marks the 15th edition of the Mountain Mayhem 24-hour race, this year sponsored by online retailer Wiggle. Once again Eastnor Castle Deer Park is the venue and 22-24 June are the important dates to put in your diary.
Unfortunately, if you haven’t entered already, you won’t be able to get in – it traditionally sells out within days of the entry forms being released online. Stories of people driving to the organiser’s house to personally hand deliver completed entry forms and cheques aren’t uncommon.
Bikemagic is celebrating the Mayhem
Plenty of you have entered though, and to celebrate the 15th event we will be covering the event in the buildup to the race at the end of the month.
We’ll be looking at the event past and present, speaking to those who have raced the event over the years, getting tips from the top, and looking at the unique challenges of riding for 24-hours. And if this is your first time doing a 24-hour race, we’ll have plenty of advice from choosing a bike, setting it up, nutrition, lights and lots more besides.
Let us know in the comments box if you’re racing solo or in a team.
