Sugoi is getting ready for the autumn season with news today of the new Versa jacket, its name derived from the versatility built into the top.
Removable raglan sleeves held in place with magnets means you can easily nip the sleeves off and turn the jacket into a gilet should conditions change during your ride. Then stuff them into the rear pocket of the jacket until conditions change for the worse and you need to pop the arms back on.
Such a jacket as this is nothing new, but whereas previous efforts relied on dual zips which were not only fiddly and slow, but always proved difficult to reattach, the Versa uses 10 magnets to make it as simple as offering the sleeves up to the shoulders of the jacket and hey presto!
The jacket is made from a new Argon fabric with a weather resistant finish but the microfiber construction offers good levels of breathability. There’s vents for extra cooling and pockets for stashing essentials, or hands when waiting for a regroup at the top of a hill.
For safety, the Jacket features lots of Scotchlite reflective material to offer 360 degree visibility whether on the trail or weaving through traffic. A dual adjustable shock cord around the hem ensures a tailored fit. Further details include a full-length reverse coil zipper with guard, back ventilation and elasticized armhole binding. Two front zip pockets and a back zip pocket easily store all the small things you need.
The Versa jacket will be available for men and women with a choice of colours to choose from. UK price will be £70.
