Canadian clothing manufacturer Sugoi has an enormous range of clothing, and just in time for the cold season it has launched several new and interesting additions. Sugoi has always been a hit with the BM crew, and its latest products don’t look set to harm that reputation at all.
Firewall 220 is a new range that features softshell fabrics and, covering jackets, gilets and tights, has all bases covered. Good levels of wind- and water-resistance are claimed with Sugoi’s four-way stretch providing a close fit that should avoid unnecessary bunching.
Wool is big in cycling now, and Sugoi’s Wallaro 290, first introduced in 2007, sees an expanded range. Australian Merino wool is used for the Wallaroo 290 garments, which employ a thicker winter-weight knit for keeping the body warm on cold mornings. For less cold days 170g/m2 and 210g/m2 items are available. Choose from full zips, long and short sleeve shirts, zip shirts, boxers, leggings, socks and a short sleeve retro-style cycling jersey.
Finally, Sugoi has wet weather protection sorted with its new Majik Shell. This 2.5 ply jacket offers high levels of waterproof resistance and breathability and plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit. And, when not in use, it’ll pack down really small.
