Brighton-based clothing brand Morvélo has launched an online shop, packed with what founders Oli Pepper and Dave Marcar describe as “bike-mixed-with-pop culture” t-shirts, badges and riding kit. Oli and Dave are graphic designers in their day jobs, and riders of all kinds of bikes the rest of the time. “We want to show our passion for bikes even when we’re not in cycling gear,” says Oli, “and this range that references not only bike culture, but popular culture too, expresses the simple joy of riding and just how great this sport is.”
We like the bike-agnosticism that underlies Morvélo stuff – mountain bikes, road bikes, track bikes, ‘cross bikes, it’s all fair game. Morvélo designs are creeping into all sorts of things – all of the material for the recent Brighton Big Dog event, for example. You can also get Morvélo-edition Exposure Maxx-D and Joystick lights. Indeed, you could win a Joystick with your very own design on it – visit the site, name your current favourite t-shirt design and suggest an idea for a new one and you might be in luck…
The Morvélo home page is at www.morvelo.com, the new online store is at www.morvelo.com/store and the Joystick competition can be found at www.morvelo.com/competition.
