The latest from the masters of performance flat pedal mountain bike shoes Five Ten is the Maltese Falcon.
It’s an SPD shoe aimed at trail riders, so it’s a little lighter and stiffer along the midsole. It’s a low-cut design with a Velcro strap keep the laces from flaying into your transmission. The heel area receives an external counter for added stability, and the Stealth S1 outsole gives high levels of grip on all terrains.
We really like the look of them, and can’t way to slip our feet into them and try them out. They’re out in shops now, but if you can’t wait to find out what they’re like, the UK distributors Bigstone have put together this fantastic video – watch Joe Barnes and Fraser Mcglone “rip Laggan Wolftrax Brown Loop to pieces,” both in a pair of the new Falcon shoes.
Weight is 903g a pair. No word on UK pricing yet but watch this space. UK price is £94.99 and they’re available now.
