Manufacturers of handy waterproofing for your extremities Sealskinz have a couple of new products for 2004. First up is a new, thinner sock, welcome news for anyone who finds the existing socks a bit hefty. The new socks are intended for milder weather conditions but are still 100% waterproof and breathable. They feature a Coolmax lining for improved wicking to limit any foot-related ponginess.
Also new is a bike-specific winter glove. The Sealskinz glove uses a unique Porelle DXT waterproof/breathable lining and promises a close fit, excellent dexterity and good feel. All the usual bike glove accoutrements are present and correct – padded palm, wipey bit on the thumb, grippy fingers – and they look pretty good.
We’ll bring you tests on the new stuff shortly – in the meantime have a gander at www.sealskinz.com for more details.
