Shimano chose the recent Eurobike cycle trade show to launch its latest shoe. The SH-M315 supersedes the SH-M310 shoe at the top of Shimano’s range and, alongside offering the same head-mouldable Custom-Fit technology, uses a new Rovenica synthetic leather upper.
This new Rovenica upper is said to be lighter, suppler and offers a better fit than the material used on the SH-M310.
There’s still a carbon fibre sole, optional stud fittings, low-profile micro-adjust buckle and two Velcro straps and anti-slip heel lining to prevent the foot shifting upwards during pedalling. Around the front is a new toe cap to protect this part of the shoe and improved venting.
Weight is a claimed 686g a pair. Price TBC.
