At the time of writing, it’s distinctly wet in the UK. Yes, this is often the case, but right now it’s even moister than usual. With deep puddles and, in many cases, actual rivers on the trails, some means of keeping your feet dry is an excellent idea. While a polythene bag on each foot kind of works, something a little more sophisticated works better. The MX140 is Lake’s lightweight, waterproof boot – they also do the monstrous MXZ302 for borderline Arctic conditions.
We’ve been out seeking standing (and flowing) water on the trails for a bit to see how the MX140s stack up – you can read the results here and add your own reviews here.
