DND stands for “down and dirty” and quite nicely signals the intentions for these latest gloves from Giro, the company that used to be just a helmet manufacturer but now does rather well with its range of glasses and gloves.
Designed for everyday riding they’re intended to be durable so they should last a couple of seasons. Fit has been the big focus for Giro since it released its first and Super Fit, which uses a three-panel Clarino Rovenica Nubuck synthetic leather palm to achieve a perfect fit.
A breathable upper (yes, they’re designed for the summer) keeps hands cool on warmer days and the four-way stretch material only serves to improve the good fit.
Details include reinforced fingertips, flex zones at the knuckles and double-stitched seams and 2mm EVA padding. Silicone details on the fingertips improve brake lever feel and they have a simple slip-on design.
Available in five colours and five sizes and costing £29.99.
