Ever thought ‘I never win anything, no point in entering competitions’ or ‘they’re all rigged, they never give the prizes away’, etc? The recent competition to win a Whyte bike after test riding it is case in point…
You’ve got to be in it to win it |
The winner of the Whyte bike competition, Nick Jones, was so sceptical of his chances that he didn’t even bother to mail us to acknowledge his win and arrange to collect the prize. Doh! In his own words:
“Hello! It’s me! I won! I still can’t believe it! I got a call from Ross at ATB Sales today, and, after confirming it wasn’t a wind-up, I have to say, it feels bloody great!! Thanks to Bikemagic, ATB Sales and Cycleworks, Guildford. A bike in the correct size is on order, but I hope to be hitting the trails in the Surrey Hills very soon! Absolutely brilliant! Many thanks, once again!”
The news is that our competitions will be won by the people that enter them. If you’re not in it you can’t win it. Simple as that. Later this week we’ll be announcing the winner of the Schwinn Rocket joining prize so check back…
