Velocite Bikes have launched in the UK, kicking off their mountain bike range with the Flux hardtail.
The carbon fibre Flux frameset features an asymmetric, tapered head tube, BB30 bottom bracket, internal cable routing, carbon dropouts, and a bow shape for minimal front triangle size, low standover height and maximum stiffness.
Weight is a claimed 1200g for a size medium (19″) but Velocite say, “while there are lighter frames, none are stiffer or more durable than the Velocite Flux.”
They continue: “Another striking feature is the ‘bow’ shape – the top tube and the seat stays form a perfect and uninterrupted carbon composite bow.
“This design allows us to use the smallest possible front triangle size which is a clever engineering way to further increase the frame stiffness, and it provides possibly the lowest standover height of any cross country MTB frame. Low standover height in turn creates a very low centre of gravity, further increasing your level of confidence.”
The Flux will also be also available in three builds, with the top-of-the range machine boasting a SRAM XX groupset, Rock Shox SID XX fork and Fulcrum Red Metal 1 wheels, wrapped in Conti Race King SS 2.2 tyres. Velocite will also launch with a four-strong road bike range.
Uk prices are to be confirmed.
