Stanton Bikes, a UK-based company that has been going for a short while has released its first frame, the Slackline.
Featuring an Reynolds 853 steel frame, the Slackline is designed to be a hardcore hardtail with the versatility to be turned to a variery of riding, from 4X to all-mountain trail riding. As such the frame will anything from a 120mm fork right up to 160mm.
With a 140mm fork fitted and sagged 25% the geometry goes like this; head angle 68 degrees, seat 72, chainstays16.3in, bottom bracket 12.4in and a 23in top tube on the larger of the two available sizes, the 18in.
A double butted seamless Reynolds 853 main frame is paired with Reynolds 525 seat and chain stays, and is finished with custom 7mm dropouts with a replaceable hanger and the downtube is gusseted. ISCG05 mounts let you single ring it
The company says of the Slackline: “The frame is designed to fit your chosen style via altering the placement of rider’s weight and the frame angles for each discipline. Meaning whatever your discipline, whatever your style, the Slackline is designed to flow through it with you.”
