New Freeride ‘Lite’ bike from Rotwild

Just had a tip off from Rotwild importers Iddon racing about a new adjustable travel suspension sled featured on their website www.rotwild.de.

The new RFC-01, uses a Rond/Magura Air shock (initially developed by Marin’s Jon Whyte) to deliver between 100 – 120mm of rear wheel travel. Adjustment is tool-less and the frameset uses their usual interrupted seat tube frame layout. Weights for previous Rotty freeriders have been around 28lbs, and this is promised to be significantly lighter. Anyone who turned up for the unnofficial “climb Jacob’s Ladder” event in the Peak last month will have seen them wind their way further up the hill than anyone else so the suspension action is certainly proven up as well as down.

More details when Paul gets his first batch in a month or so’s time.

Also on the Rotwild site are two new road bikes, one complete with compact frame geometry and the “channel tube” shaping strategy evolved for the superlight XC bikes.
