Turning heads at Eurobike this week is the news that Ibis adds a 29er to its range with the new Ripley 29.
Using the same dw-link suspension platform as found on the Mojo bikes with a full carbon frame and carbon linkage, but with geometry adjusted for the bigger wheels, the addition isthe latest niche US brand to get involved with big wheels.
There’s a tapered head tube, BB92/Press GXP bottom bracket, twin angular contact composite bearings, 142mm Maxle rear axle, 160mm carbon fibre post mount rear brake mounts and geometry designed around a 120-140mm fork.
It’s also one of the few bikes in the show to utilise the new Fox 34 29er fork with 140mm of travel.
