Boardman Bikes have launched the four-strong 2012 Female-inspired – or Fi – range, with one mountain bike included in the collection.
The Fi HT Comp hardtail retails at £649.99 and features an all-new alloy frame, with a spec including Suntour Epicon 120mm Air fork, Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes and SRAM X5 27-speed gearing.
So what’s different from the regular fleet? Fi bikes have a female-specific geometry, while, on the Fi HT Comp, a white and pink paintjob completes the look.
Also included in the range is the Fi Comp hybrid (£599.99) and two road bikes, the Fi Road Comp (£799.99) and Fi Team Carbon (1299.99).
“The all-new 2012 Fi range builds upon the successful and ever-popular initial offering and includes input from our world-class female athletes, combined with my own cycling heritage to deliver a series of bikes specifically designed for women who enjoy cycling at every level,” said Chris Boardman, director of research and development.
“From commuting, competing, off-road through to family touring – all our bikes benefit from world-class frame design, superior materials and hand-picked componentry – specifically designed to enhance your ride experience and maximise all round performance.”
Halfords is expecting demand to be high and recommends customers reserve their bike in-store. For details of your nearest Boardman Fi stockist visit www.halfords.com/boardmanbikes
