Intense Spider 29
The US company has a long history of designing ultra desirable mountain bikes (anyone remember the M1 downhill bike that Shaun Palmer used to race?), and they haven’t been ignoring the popularity of 29in bikes; the Spider 29 was their second offering for 29er fans.
What makes it special?
It’s indisputably an Intense from every angle. Curved tubes and shaped profiles wrapped around the VPP suspension design, with 5-5.5in of travel on tap, available with two shock mounting options. A G1 dropout system caters for all thru-axle/quick release axle standards, there’s a tapered head tube and revised shock link for 2012 make this a serious contender for anyone looking to make the 29er switch.
