Following the launch of Bikemagic’s month of 29ers yesterday, with our first daily showcase featuring a Trek Fisher Superfly 100, it’s time of today’s bike showcase.
Cannondale Scalpel 29er
For their first full suspension 29er Cannondale have taken the Scalpel, beloved of by cross-country racers, and treated it to some bigger wheels for 2012.
What makes it special?
Cannondale designed this new Scalpel from the ground up around the bigger wheels, and achieved an good looking design that packages a host of cutting edge features and 100mm of travel into a great looking bike.
The Scalpel 29er uses a single pivot linkage with pivot-less dropouts, but unlike its smaller wheeled siblings there’s a proper main pivot, the 15mm axles borrowed from the Jekyll.
