French brand Vario has until now struggled to find a firm foothold in the UK, but a new exclusive distribution partnership with 2×2 Worldwide should sort matters.
For those not familiar with the name, Vario have a reputation for quality and innovative design, at least across the pond. Over here, that tends to translate to “quirky”, but a look at the Vario website reveals some really quite good looking bikes. The range covers all disciplines of riding from DH, FR, XC, all-mountain, 4X and most likely everything in between.
France has a knack of producing top-flight riders, and it’s with multiple World Champion Anne Caroline Chausson that Vario has recently signed a two year deal. As Nico Vouilloz at Lapierre, Chausson will provide the company with invalable feedback and design input.
Scott Hillyard, Sales Director for 2×2 Ltd says, “We chose to partner with Vario due to their fantastic reputation for quality products, their excellent understanding of the latest technological advances and their impressive race pedigree.”
Emmanuel Descroix, Sales Director for Vario says, “We have been looking for an appropriate partner in the UK to distribute our product range and 2×2’s attitude towards Vario products proves the willingness to establish a truly long-term partnership. Synergies between the innovations offered by Vario and 2×2’s positioning are the major assets that will guarantee the success of the project.”
Vario currently sponsors a full professional team contesting the World Cup circuit and now Vario is looking for riders for the semi-supported Co-Factory team. If you think you’ve got what it takes to compete in XC or DH, contact [email protected] or phone 01827 331099.
