It looks like wheel manufacturer Novatec is keeping with the times and offering an all-encompassing range of wheels for 2013. 

All wheel sizes are catered for and a feature we really like with Novatec wheels is the easily interchangeable end-caps on the hubs, which allow for quick changes between different axle configurations. You can find this feature on other brands’ wheels, but the icing on the cake with the Novatecs is that each wheel comes with the full line-up of end-caps so you don’t have to go hunting new ones down (well, you will still have to go hunting around the workshop/garage/kitchen to find where you ‘safely’ stored them).

NOVATEC WHEEL LINEUP: BIGGER IS BETTER

Novatec’s wheel lineup has expanded to feature new, larger diameters. Now Diablo, FlowTrail and Dragon are available in 29er and 27.5 sizes as well as conventional 26, are in stock and shipping globally.

Novatec’s offroad wheelsets feature a host of technologies including a Novatec developed Tubeless Ready profile for compatibility with tubed and tubeless tire systems. 4-IN-1 front and rear hubs are compatible will all major axle sizes from QR, QR10, QR15 and QR20 up front and QR, QR10, 12×135 and X12 in the rear. Cassette bodies feature Novatec’s Anti Bite Guard for durability and efficient power transfer and the alloy rim surfaces are all micro-peened and anodized with sublimated graphics for an extremely durable and beautiful finish. The wheels are laced with quality stainless steel spokes and anodized alloy nipples.

Novatec alloy XC and Enduro Wheelsets are light, durable and available in 26, 27.5 and 29er platforms. These wheels take advantage of Novatec’s gravity wheel genetics with durability features like 4-IN-1 front and rear hubs, micropeened finishes and proprietary Tubeless Technology but packaged in light and responsive XC wheel chassis.

ANTI-BITE GUARD (ABG)

This small but critical detail allows us to build cassette bodies lighter and more durably. Alloy cassette bodies are great however the long-term rigors of offroad abuse often result in steel or titanium cassette sprockets biting into the softer alloy material. ABS is a small hardened steel plate that acts as one of the splines on a cassette body preventing this wear. The result is a lightweight alloy cassette body with the lifespan of one made from steel.

4-IN-1 FRONT AND REAR HUBS

One wheel set can do it all. Our XC and Enduro wheels feature interchangeable end caps that can be easily swapped without tools to fit front hubs with QR, QR9, QR15 and QR20 axles systems. Rear hubs adapt from QR, QR10, 12×135 and X12 configurations.

All Novatec offroad wheels are designed with a proprietary tubeless ready rim profile as a standard feature. Use virtually any tyre and readily available tape/sealant kit with our rims. Or, throw in a tube in a pinch.

FAST ENGAGEMENT CASSETTE BODIES

Novatec uses a fast engaging 6 pawl ratchet ring drive system in our offroad cassette bodies. This translates to near-instant power transfer with no slack in the drive system between man a machine. Pedaling efficiency, off-the line starts, sprints and corner exits are all improved.
