SRAM have announced that from January their X9 shifters will benefit from the same ball bearing technology as the higher-end XX and X0 components.
All 2012 X9 9-speed and 10-speed trigger shifters (front and rear shifters, in all colours and across 2×10, 3×10 and 3×9 speeds) will use the same pull lever ball bearing technology as the more expensive units, replacing the current bushing design.
The components manufacturer says the upgrade will results in a “more solid feel, more precise shifting, and overall higher performance”.
