150mm Revelation gets lighter and new travel adjustment is added

Here comes the latest fork from RockShox (following the launch of the 120mm SID last week), the updated-for-2011 Revelation which is now available in a lighter World Cup offering.

With 150mm of travel the new World Cup fork now benefits from a one-piece carbon fibre tapered steerer tube and crown assembly to knock the weight off while also increasing the stiffness of the fork. Throw in Maxle Lite, 32mm aluminium stanchions and you've got one seriously trail capable fork on your hands.

Having so much travel RockShox have wisely introduced a neat travel adjust system, the Dual Position Air spring, which makes it easy to drop the fork by 30mm down to 120mm by just flicking a lever on the right hand side of the crown. This change should make climbing a whole lot easier, keeping the front wheel in check for those moments when you're right on the nose of the saddle and crouched over the bars heaving up a steep climb.

It's not all just change at the top, as the RL and RLT models are boosted with Dual Flow rebound. The RLT goes one further with detented compression adjustment.

With these changes, the new World Cup fork hits the scales at 1489g (3.28lb). It's also available in a XX version with the associated colour options that brings.
