MacMahone Bikes might be relatively unknown now, but its super stylish products, ranging from dirt jump to singlespeed frames and with a pretty wide-ranging array of components, should assure them of a place in the MTB community. Here’s a little look at some of the products on offer.
The company sources its products from Taiwan, and offers a rather dizzying range of hubs, wheels, stems, handlebars, skewers and more. Components such as the Weevil stem – available in 50mm and 70mm – made from 7075 aluminum with titanium bolts standout and look particularly good when partnered with the Angus 30 handlebar – double-butted 7075 with 710mm width and 38mm rise. The Loch carbon seatpost comes in 31.6mm and 27.2mm with 300mm of length, and weighs 186g (27.2mm).
Besides an interesting range of components, the company also has some funky looking framesets. There’s the popular-with-the-dirt-jumpers Reaper, and the tubed Sword catering for singlespeeders. There’s newness to be unveiled at Eurobike next week, such as the multi-linkage “Le Pluriel” and the “Six”, a 1kg carbon hardtail, pictured over there on the right. Also available in green…
