This is big news and one of the industry’s worst kept secrets – SRAM has now officially launched the new XO1 drivetrain that promises to deliver all the benefits of the brilliant XX1 set up without the tear-inducing price…

Well, that’s the idea, but actually the complete set up looks like it will still come in at over €1000 from our quick calculations, so possibly not quite the bargain we’d have hoped for. However, you will be sure to get all the chain-retaining, friction reducing, gear range increasing benefits of XX1 and save a few hundred bucks.
