Obvious differences over the 224 include a completely new downtube with a cutaway section, or cavity, to accept the newly located shock mount for what looks to us like a longer stroke shock.
UPDATE: We've just heard the following from Orange's Dave Flynn: "It does everything the 225 did but without the need for a link to get the progression. Solves reliability issues with bearings, keeps the characteristic 224-evo stiffness and ride feel but without any slight falling rate worries."
