We’ve just got off the phone to Tim Flooks, RockShox Euro tech guy who’s been filling us in on the new 2001 forks. The hot news is the RockShox Psylo, a brand new long travel fork.
Travel: Adjustable (externally) from 80mm-120mm.
Stanchions: RockShox are using 30mm stanchions to keep the fork stiff and
get good air volume inside
Weight: They’re claiming a weight of 2.6lb.
Damping: They use a new “pure damping” system which is acheived
with a floating piston keeping the oil and air seperate.
Other features: Include a lockout system called “Climb It Control”.
We have no prices, specs or expected arrival times, but we’ll be keeping you up to date as we hear things.
