RockShox’s Argyle fork has been updated for 2011, with feedback from sponsored riders leading to the development of a lighter and better performing product.
Travel has been increased to 140mm, but they can be run at 80mm and 100mm also, with 32mm stanchions and a Maxle Lite axle keeping tthem pointing in the right direction during aggressive riding.
New too is ‘TurnCoat’, a brake hose routing and headset retention system that has been in use for the past two years by Brandon Semenuk but is now available to the public, and allows for such essential tricks as bar spins and tail whips with no tangled brake cables. Nice.
The Argyle RCT uses Solo Air internals and Motion Control damping with an aluminium steerer shedding some weight, which incidentally is a claimed 2.01kg (4.44lbs). White and black are available. Availability is expected on 1 August.
