Hope Technology’s latest product fresh from the CNC machine is this 10-speed integrated cassette.
The five inner sprockets are machined from a single lump of aluminium and the remaining outer sprockets are cut from titanium nitride coated steel.
The unique integrated design does away with the need for a lockring to hold the cassette onto the freehub body, and allows for a nine-tooth sprocket to be used.
It’s designed to fit the company’s Pro 2 and Pro 3 hubs and is claimed to be 20g lighter than a SRAM XX cassette on a Pro 2 hub. It won’t be cheap at £150, and isn’t expected to be available until next year.
